Short answer is, unfortunatly, no.
Those of us with the same need you have generally carry the smallest usb
card reader for the type of memory card used and use that as the storage
media rather than a thumb drive.
There are some very small CF card readers around and 1gig CF cards
regularly show up for the same or less than 1 gig thumb drives.

Apart from a relevant connector it has to have a host USB capability.
I'm not sure if it has that. Have you asked HP if it is possible?

I'm sorry to have missed all but Beverly's reply, but if the original
question was whether or not USB keys can be used with PPC's, the
answer is a qualified yes - it works as long as the PPC you try to use
it on has USB Host capabillities. I use my Toshiba e800 and USB Host
cable to Read/Write USB Keys all the time. I can write directly to
most of my friends mp3 players, and a few cameras as well.

Add this to the other responses. Since the 2210 has a CF slot you can add
USB host capabilities to it with
http://www.ratocsystems.com/englis [...] cfu1u.html Yes that
would allow you to use the USB 'thumb' drive, but it is a fairly expensive
solution to the problem. I'd recommend going Bev's route with a USB CF or SD
reader.

One more to add on in the realm of possibilities:
The Asus wl-hdd is a wireless 2.5" hard drive enclosure- basically you
stick a hard drive in it and you can access it from a wireless pda. Now,the
wl-hdd also has a usb port that automatically rips a jump drive or card
reader to the drive, which then can be accessed wirelessly. This would give
you access and a backup.
Something to consider if you use wireless a lot - I use one to store a lot
of movies, drawings, music etc. on it as well as backing up the camera when
on a trip. 100 gig really opens up the multimedia/research capabilities of
the ppc when away from the home network, and is a good compromise until the
ppc has a real drive.
