I did a reinstall of windows a couple of weeks ago cause I wasn't able to get FEAR to run. I could install it but when I tried to run it I would get an 'application error (kernel32.dll)' message. I thought the reg cleaner I used might of messd it up. Just tried to run FEAR again on the fresh install and it does the same thing! Same error as before! In event log it reads,
'Faulting application fear.exe, version 1.0.0.0. faulting module kernel32.dll'
What do you think the problem is? Now I have done a reformat and that didnt work so that leads me to think its either hardware damage or simply the game?? I have been OC'ing alot, do you think this could of caused anything?? By the way I did try two other games and they worked fine :? Also when I googled the problem im having I found only one person with my problem and it was something to do with his anti-virus (kaspersky antvirus) which is the same as mine... I may consider getting rid of it and getting AVG but its free and i'm a bit weary of trusting it... Anyway help on this plz!
