is it unsafe to have different brands of memory in your pc?

ie. if right now i have a samsung memory, will it be okay if i later on get a kingston memory to upgrade or will there be complications?

and if so, is there any advantage to keeping to only one brand?

btw, lets say right now i get a 1gb 533 mhz ram, 6 months (when im confident that vista is okay) i get another ram but this time 800 mhz, is it possible to do that?

much thx guys

possible, but it will be a waste of the oc potential you'll have with 800 ram, you'll have to underclock 800mhz ram stick

Its perfectly safe. The only problem is that you will be limited to the slowest/highest voltage one, so try to pick one with similar specs.
Unless youll run stock for life, then it isnt important.
