My house is suffering from a mild flea infestation. We need to end the problem before it becomes acute and have decided to use controlled chemical spraying to kill them. This isn't whole house fumigation, just specific rooms with directed sprays around trouble areas. I worried about any of the spray/fine dust damaging my desktop computer and wrapped it in a plastic bag. Now I'm scared of it discharging static and damaging my computer. should i be worried about this? Right now I'm concerned and I feel like a moron, I have no knowledge about the capability of my computer being harmed in this way.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I dont think the plastic will make any damage as long as its not inside the case.

There won't be any harm, as the static charge isn't in contact with the sensitive hardware.
