i just put another 8800gts card in for sli and my antec neo 550 isn't going to cut it. i am looking at the 2 psu's below and wanted some opinions and or reviews from you guys who may have expieriance with these.i would also be up for other recommendations as long as the price is in the same range and the psu has the modular cables.thanks

You picked great PSU's. They will do the job. You can even upgrade to one more 8800gts in SLI mode without a problem.

Sure as long as the case can accomidate the cards and the PSU has the power needed to power the system.

www.overclockers.co.uk says:

"These cards require PCI-E x16 slots, they will not function in a x8 slot so for SLi you need dual x16 mainboard. Finally 500W minimum for PSU and 600W+ is recommended."

Hi Big Tuna,
I recently purchased the 1K Silverstone. It's by far the best PSU I've owned. Very good quality.

Interesting. Considering that most SLI motherboard run the 2 16x slots in 8x when in SLI. Yet few people run into problem SLIing the 8800s.

I beleive what it's refuring to is somone wanting to SLI on a non SLI board by using the 8x slot not a 16x running at 8x.

A link directly to the article would help.

its not an article but a note in all the geforce 8 series cards they sell
