OK My friend and I are having a dissagreement about CPU strength and how much it affects gaming.
He has an AMD X2 4800 and 2 gigs of PC 5000 ram, ASUS A8R32-MVP deluxe motherboard, and the ATI X1900XT Crossfire 512ram 2 Western Digital 10000 rpm Raid 0 hard drives.
He is beta testing Vanguard online which is very demanding.
I think that if he had the new quad core CPU it would make a big difference and he says he has never seen his CPU go over 60% so therefore he beileves the Quadcore would make very little difference.
I think it would make a difference.
Can anyone explain, in layman's terms the game process from the moment a thread is sent via our cable conection please?
