I just wonder if things have changed since the 65nm Conroe based Core2Duo and DDR2 800 days. With todays fastest RAM having roughly 3 times the clockspeed of the memory used in the article it would be interesting to see if the need for bandwidth has changed.
I would also like to see if there are differences across the different architectures.
More aboutdual channel single channel update
Bump for similar interest. I'm curious to see if DDR3/new architecture/better memory controllers have widened the performance gap between single channel and dual channel.
