I have a Buffalo G54 Wire/Wireless Router, it works fine except with one big problem, I can't access the configuration page, 192.168.11.1(default). Firefox browser display" can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.11.1" but I can ping "192.618.11.1"
=======================================
Pinging 192.168.11.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 192.168.11.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.11.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Ping statistics for 192.168.11.1:
Packets: Sent = 3, Received = 3, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
=======================================

Show 192.168.11.1 is right there, the share internet connection works fine but I can't access router configuration interface and I don't want to hard reset or turn off the router which shouldn't be. Not mention stop my whole house porn downloading, think what my housemate will do it me.

Facts:
Can't access through my computer and my housemate computer.. same msg display "can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.11.1"

When I first set it up.. I can access the configuration interface then some weeks ago.. stopped

I think it could be security issues like firewall but I don't know enough to make any comments here.

Help appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't access the dlink, make sure you are not use a proxy server. Is so disable, and try again.

Other wise you will need to reset it back to factory. Usually done by holding in the reset button for 10 sec.

Do you have your brouser set to 'remember' passwords? If the wrong password is stored then the router won't let you log in.

If you have a proxy defined in you browser configuration, go to tools, connection, lan settings, and tick bypass proxy for local addresses.

Then click advanced and enter the ip address of you Airstation, 192.168.11.1 in the box and click OK, OK.

Refresh or type the ip address in the URL and you should now be able to access the login.

Good luck.

anyone found a solution to this?

I've been having the same problem with mine on and off over the last 3 years. The only solution I've found is to remove the power from it for about 30 seconds and then repower it. All the settings are retained in the air station but it will then let me in. This is using a wired connection, I don't know if it works for a wireless connection for 192.168.11.2

wow, even tho this thread is years old, i just bought a g54 router back in nov & now i'm having this issue. didn't realize this router design/platform was that outdated when i purchased it!! got it for a new computer & it's ability to use N. am using w7 & tried 3 diff browsers, ie8 firefox & chrome, only way i can get setup page to load is to reload & it may work or not ugh. have internet connection etc & just switched over from cable modem to adsl so not sure if that has affected it or not? set it up for pppoe and now this? weird! will try powering it off for a few & see if that works, then it's a call to buffalo i suppose. anyone else using a g54 by chance or suggest a good replacement?? thx :o
