New to overclocking could use some pointers

So I've just got done purchasing all of the pieces to build my rig and wsa hoping to get some help from people that might have a similar setup.

e6600, evga 680i sli, Nvidia 7900GS, corsair ddr2 800 2gb xms dominator, one dvdrw, 2x 120mm case fans, zalman 9700, HIPER 580W PSU, and two 160 gb 7200rpm HDs that i'm porting in from my old system not raided.

I'd like to set my goals to getting the e6600 to around 3.2-3.4 and possibly overclock the video card too, but that will come later i think. If anyone has some suggestions i sure would appreciate it. Thanks
