Hello all, this is my first time posting in these forums, I figured this would be a good place to shoot this question to you guys while im checkin it out on google. So here is the problem Im having: I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro and have set up a wireless network in my household. I have a windows box that I wanted to share a certain folder and have made it to the final step of fully establishing the connection.
The windows box can see my Mac but the Mac is giving me problems with the SMB/CIFS File System Authentication dialog box pops up the workgroup is set to be the same but the name and password that im supposed to type in (I guess its supposed to be the windows xp computers name and password) never seem to work. The name that always pops up doesnt look like the name of my computer so i retype it and put in the password to no avail. I hope you guys can help me out if you need more info i'll glady post what is needed. Thanks
