a question about changing my RAID setup ...

running P4 3Ghz, 82801 controller, 925x chipset ... I hav 4 drives, the first 2 are WD 36gb raptors runnign RAID 0 striped, and the 2nd 2 HDs are Seagate Barracudas running RAID 1 mirrored.

I would like to (without reloading WINxp) change the 1st 2 to be mirrored instead of striped, using the newer 76Gb WD hard drives.

Does anyone know the correct procedure for accomplishing this? My MB only has 4 SATA ports ... maybe something like this would work>?...
take out teh 2nd 2 HDs temporarily, ... add a WD 76gb raptor, ... and have it mirror the 1st 2 WDs, ... then when the drive is rebuilt, ... take out the 1st 2 HDs and replace with one 76gb WD??? ... the install the original 2nd 2 HDs,

thanks mucho for any help!

Many people have had the same issue, but for me I find using and Image to backup all my data works best. Or even using a P2V client like VMware (enterprise tool), then V2P the OS back onto the Mirror'd set.
