Hello all,

Can you guys help me out?

I've been looking for a pci-e x1 TV tuner card but only finding pci versions.

Can you recommend a good pci-e x1 TV tuner card?

Hopefully I can find them in Canada or ships to Canada :)

Thanks for you time.

Thanks mpilchfamily,

Then that leaves me with either ATI theater 550 Pro or the 650 Pro or the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500 or the 150..

Been reading that the ATI Theater 550 Pro has good picture quality..

But if there is another brand that you guys think it's better then let me know.

Thanks for your Time.

I humbly disagree. The Vista View Saber 2020 is a pci-e tv tuner, with the best resolution of any others in its price range. It also has two tuners, one of which is capable of receiving FM, and video capture inputs. The The ATI Theater 650 was recalled by the company for some hardware issue and, to my knowledge, has not been re-released. If you find one, I'd be careful. The new ones were due out in November.

I agree. I went to my local Fry's store and bought an ATI HDTV WONDER. Do not buy that, please. It's a piece of junk. The software looks like it was made for Windows 98, doesn't have x64 drivers, antenna for "free" HDTV channels sucks, the remote is flimsy. The picture quality sucked, it was that of streaming video from MSN.com. I imagine all of ATI's tuners are like that.

No one makes them... yet. Right now there is no need to make a tuner for PCI-e 1x. The PCI bus is still more then enough for a tuner.
