If you already installed Windows on a Jmicron port, you can't change it or Windows won't boot.

Otherwise, AHCI if you have a SATA 3.0/gig drive.

Wrng thread I guess, but since you started on AHCI - please help me out.

I got a sata 1,5, and a sata 3.0 drives.

Sata is configured as IDE in bios. HDtune reports that max capability for each drive is UDMA6 (ata-133), but they operate at UDMA5 (ata-100 respectively), should I choose the option "configure sata as ahci" instead?

Board is: ASUS P5B
