x1300 XT or x1600 pro ?

No wonder, they are pretty close. In a recent matchup review, featured on one of the Russian tech sites, 1300xt was competing with 1650pro (i know its not 1600 but still).

All I can say - 1650pro had the edge in every becnhmark (higher GPU speed after all). Plus it features AVIVO (might not be of use to you but still).

im looking at all the charts on the tomshardware website and the xt seems to outperform the x1600 pro by a lot in everything

that's because 1300xt in the charts, has GDDR3 memory, whereas the ones you're trying to compare - have DDR2. which means their memory is almost twice as slow.

ok that original 1300xt i put a link to has 256mb.

this one is £1 cheaper and it has GDDR3 memory - HOWEVER it only have 128mb :S

so i'll for that one?

128 mbs of memory is usually more overclockable than 256, even if its the same type.

as for your case: 128 of memory that is twice as fast - is better than 256 of the slower one.

I remember having a geforce 6600gt with 256 megs of videoram, which i eventually scrapped (bad quality) and got one with 128 from ASUS. didnt notice any performance decreases. then again, i don't run texture-rich games..
bottomline - go with GDDR3, you won't be disappointed.

Yup.

X1300 XT = X1600 PRO

X1600 XT = X1650 PRO

This isn't an approximation, these cards are essentially identical with a 10 Mhz or so clockspeed increase. Not worth mentioning.
