If you're asking about the price - no that's not new. That's the rebate deal that was being offered last summer. They have been down to around $100 (USD) w/o rebate off and on. And that was boxed, not OEM. We're getting down to just a few weeks left to easily find new 939's. I would suspect that prices will start to slip upwards as distributors run out of stock.

Will it perform better than your 3200+ - of course it will.

The answer to your question is, it depends what you call good. I am currently running a 4000+ @ 2.85GHz. I may be able to push it harder, but I haven't done so.

Hope that helps. The overclock takes you to a high MHz, but the % overclock suck because the starting MHz is already fairly high.

Looked at any single or dual core opterons?

if you oc it you wont see any if much difference.

its a good single core but a dual core will be better in the long run.

I just recieved my opty 165 yesterday. Little worried since multiplier is only x9. I'll let you know how things turn out.

I have the CCBBE stepping which is averaging 2.8+.

i got my 4000+ up to about 2.8GHZ with the stock heat sink and fan, but since i didn't notice any real difference, i just run it at stock speeds.
