Recently, I have been having trouble booting my computer up... it goes to through its normal protocol, and when it looks like it is going to go to windows, I get a black screen and a blinking cursor in the upper left. I tried a lot of different things (this only happens 1/10 times): loaded up Kaspersky anti-virus and came back with nothing. Tried free adware and malware killers and still nothing.
Further adding to my problem was that I noticed that it mainly happens when I don't have a CD in the CD drive. It doesn't matter what kind of CD it is, just as long as something is in there.
I checked the BIOS boot options and it seemed like everything was ok... I am just stumped.
Help?
Otherwise, I will continue to put up with it.
