Hi marykskin,

What's the command-line you're using?
What does the Task Scheduler log say?

JSI Tip 2911. Scheduled Tasks exit/results codes.:
http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBF/TIP2900/rh2911.htm
http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBJ/tip4600/rh4663.htm

This log file for Scheduled Tasks is stored in the Windows folder, where it
is used to record the activity of scheduled tasks. You can use the log file
to determine why a task might have stopped, or to check on the status of a
task.

Doesn't McAfee have its own scheduler that you can set? I believe all the
av programs do.

I am really lost. I have been looking and looking. The last result is
0x0 and it says last run never for both the update and the scan. I
tried to do it from the task manager and I keep getting an error that
says could not start. I tried to put in a password to see if that
would help and I get an error code "The new task has been created but
may not run because the account information could not be set. The
specific error is 0x80070005: access is denied, try using the task page
browse button to locate the application.

I hope this is enough information to maybe figure something out. I
cannot set any programs to run right now. Thanks!

I tried the task scheduler first through McAfee but that wasn't working,
that is why I was trying to do it the other way. I guess I will just
wait until the new update for windows comes up and run it manually
everyday until then. Someone said Microsoft charges to get the
temporary fix for it. I did read that you could run the gpedit.msc but
that is not on my computer and then someone said go into secpol.msc to
do some changes but I cannot find that either. Thanks for all the
help!
