An application I wanted to install insisted on me having MS
dotnetframework installed.

I installed this 20 Meg mammoth and the application installed OK.

Now I want to know what dotframework is and what it does and whether I
need it any more.

Can someone enlighten me?

Google down AGAIN?!
I wish they would keep that up.. Or even Microsoft's own search features on
their website. Such unreliable search engines.

Some new programs will require the .NET Framework to run their applications.
