Speedfan temps?

How do you guys know which temp is which? Is there a way to find it on the mobo or something? Instead of seeing "Temp1," "Temp2," etc., it would be better to know what it's really showing. Is there a trick you guys know?

I'm assuming you have a dual core cpu? Temp1 is one core, temp2 is the second. Shouldn't matter which one is which. Speedfan doesn't measure actual core temps anyway. Download Coretemp instead.

Yeah, I have a core 2 duo. I have coretemp too and that works well. I like speedfan though too because it measures the ambient temp inside the case and what not. I just can't find that when I've used it with my rig though. It worked on another pc I used it on.

On my Core Duo laptop it's 1 and 2, on my P4 w/ Hyperthreading it's 3.
