hey guys ...

i have been looking and don´t see, at TH, benchmarch of E6300 and E6400.
and i have some questions ...
- Which one is better ?? E6300 or E6400?
- they both have better performance then the AMD Atlhon X2 3800+ // 4200+ // 5200+ ?!?!

I will not buy to OC.

More about : e6300 e6400

The E6400 is better whether you OC or not. It's performance is about the same as the Athlon X2 4600+ or the 4800+ depending on which benchmarks you look at. A slightly overclocked E6400 will beat the 5200+.

The E6400 is made for gaming and supports SATA2.
The E6300 supports USB 2.0 and is designed for laptops.
E6200 = server.

So hopefully you can figure out if you have a laptop case or a desktop or a server or what.

They will all kick the stuffing out of anything AMD could build. But then again your average celeron already does that.

January 10, 2007 9:24:22 PM

what the hell?
as far as i know, the usb support is dependant on the OS

and the e6300 isn't even put in laptops. Intel already has their "T" series for laptops. correct me if i'm wrong.

as for nesso, the obvious answer is the e6400.
January 10, 2007 9:29:21 PM

phamily, you're correct. BoomBatz is a troll who enjoys spreading misinformation. I don't know if he thinks he's being funny, or is just a shithead, but I wish he'd stop.

dude.. where do u get this information ? o_O

E6600 is too much better then E6400 ?!?! just for curiosity :p
so the E6400 is better then 4200+ and 4800+ for sure ? :p
January 10, 2007 9:54:19 PM

i think you mean, the e6600 is alot better than 6400. and its not extremely better than the 6400, its JUST better. kind of like saying 9 is bigger than 6, but not that much bigger.

anyway, 6400 is generally better that the 4200 and the 4800 for SURE

REALLY????
I thought....
E6400 is used to make my V12 Corvette 500HP to V24 Maclaren 1200HP
E6300 is used to make my V12 Corvette 500HP to inline 3 Cyl Geo Metro to save fuel ;P

No, no, no, you've all got it wrong. The E6300 was a nuclear sub designed by the USSR during the cold war. The E6400 is a type of photo lithography designed by the Japanese in 1893 for complex brain surgery. There are robots involved.

WTF!!!!

Stop this guy from saying anything or I might hurt myself laughing too much. Either is a complete idiot or he can't tell the difference between his ass and his face.

Anyway, the E6300 is slightly slower than the E6400 on the frequency front, (1,86 vs 2,13 GHz) but everything elses is the same. They are both better then what AMD does right now for overclocking, altough that might change when AMD improve their 65nm process. They both reach 3,0GHz in well ventilated cases, or 2.66GHz without much problem otherwise.

Good cpu for the not-so-whelthy overall. No offence I hope, at least I didn't intend any (except maybe this BoomBatz, if he was serious  )

No, no, no, you guys (and ^this^ genius) all have it wrong. The E6400 is an energy drink in direct competition with Red Bull. It gives about as much energy as the best Red Bulls, and if a little Glucose-D is mixed in, it will DEFINITELY lay waste to any Red Bull. The E6300 is low-calorie version of the drink. Again, Glucose-D works wonders. The E6200 has no calories whatsoever and hence defeats the purpose of an energy drink. It was part of a failed experiment to give people an energy "placebo" without making them more obese then they already are.

WARNING: Do NOT use Glucose-D with Red Bull. The resulting rise in temperature will likely burn your hands and face beyond recognition.

I'll take one.

Seriously though, do they even MAKE an e6200, when I was looking at the Core 2s on Newegg, lowest I saw was an e6300.
January 11, 2007 12:54:44 PM

No they don't make one... I think he was rummaging around in his ass when he pulled that one out. As has been said, the guy's a troll.
