I have created a Norton Ghost image of a Hard Drive containing Windows 2000.
The size of the drive is 60GB. I am currently trying to restore this image
to a 40GB hard drive, the ghosting process says that it is successful yet
when I try booting off of this device I get a blue windows screen with the
error "inaccessable boot device"

Can anyone help

Thanx

It isn't a good idea to downsize a drive. Upgrade from one size to a larger disk but not
downsize.

What version and build of Norton Ghost was used and how (what process) did you restore the
image ?
