Dimond 1950 AGP, GOT ONE

I was cruzin newegg last week and the Diamond ATI 1950 w/512 AGP popped up and I snagged it. and installed it last night. Just to answer the naysayers , let me say this.... WOW. I'm a gamer and I have been running a 3.0 Pentium with a 6800 NVIDIA. I run WOW, Battlefield 1 &2 and black and white. I own a copy of Oblivion but alas the old system just didn't have what it took to run it smoothly , even with the graphics dumbed down.
I Aquamarked the system prior to install with a score of 36,150. Post install WOW and Battlefield maxed out run smoothly. Oblivion runs good with middle of the road graphic settings. and Aquamark scores a 58,967

I'm a happy camper and will now wait till the AMD Intel race settles out a bit.

The question I have is the day after I ordered this I went back to newegg and the card was no where to be seen.... not back ordered , simply not there. the same with tiger direct. Anyone know what's going on??

Whoa, hey, it was an expression of good will. Aquamark scores, well, I guess I need to do mine and see where I'm at. Its good that the newer games run well, do you have any older ones? Like Alien vs Pedator, Dungeon Keeper 2, Thief the Dark Project, Draken? How do those run?

did you get some random error message???

now that is wierd. I was getting a different error with aquamark. But that was after the benchmark installed and even ran..till it came to letting me know what the socre was, then it used to crash.

I got it fixed by just adding a fix dll file into the aquamark folder. Dunno what the problem is on ur side though.

Yeah i didnt think my 7800GS extreme was much of an improvement over my older 9800 pro to be honest. It was good...dont get me wrong, but not worth the £200 price tag.

So i sold it for 160 after about 4 months of use and bought the x1950 for 150

you must be proud

depends on the rest of the system aswell.

you may have a better processor and/or memory.
