Here's what I did: I dl'd and installed the newest drivers for my new GT 7600 card, then purchased and installed WinDVD 8, hoping to optimize DVD playback. In the nVidia control panel I enabled hardware acceleration. DVDs play OK but now other clips, .wmv, .avi, etc won't play at all. All I get is gobbledy gook and the phrase "Powered by Splendid Video Enhancement Technology" supered over the screen. What the hell is this? Can I get rid of it? Any advice appreciated.

Further info: my 7600 is from Asus and I notice there's something called "Asus Enhanced Display driver" in add/remove programs. What is this? Can it be removed?
