Hi group,
Now that HP have released a driver for "Bluetooth Stereo Headset", for my
Ipaq H5550, can anyone recommend suitable headsets ??
I want to use it for the voice instructions from my GPS navigation software.
Although the downloaded driver said it was for "Stereo" headsets, will any
of the usual Mobile Phone mono ear hanger types, such as Plantronics etc.
work with my Ipaq ??

To my knowledge there are only two Stereo BT Headphones on the market, HP's
own and Bluetake's. The BT profile for the headphones is designed for high
quality audio for listening to music.
To use the BT headsets that are commonly used for cell phones, you need a
Headset or Handsfree profile which is different than the Stereo one. A
number of PPC have that profile by default, some can be hacked to expose it.
I don't know where the 5550 falls.
The Bluetake device actually has a microphone and can be used as headphones
with the Headphone (Advance Audio) profile, or as a headset using the
Headset or Handsfree profile.
