My computer is running very slow.It is taking hell of a time to load window xp. Please suggest some measure to make it faster.

Well, I want to overclock my processor, how can I do it. Please explain as I am beginner.

Definetely, as mpilchfamily said, get more RAM! Anything under 512MB with XP is asking for slowness. Also, have you defragged the hard drive lately? GL :)

Well,

Please tell me if I can over-clock my processor or not, on my current mobo.

If yes, Plzzzzzzzzzzzzz explain.

Just tell how can I increase the FSB on my D865GBF mobo.

Tell me if Intel Integrator Toolkit Will help me or not.

Thnx.

I used to have that same series of motherboard and it does not allow overclocking. They are locked. Well, it will allow a 10% overclock which will do no good. As other posters have said, you NEED more RAM. A 256 stick is around $25 and the best money you will ever spend on this computer if you want to keep it going.

Hello

I have got a D865G chipset while this software is for D865p chipset., so the software is useless for me.

Any other suggestions :!:

wow you are slow..

overclocking will do NOTHING with only 256 mb of ram.

ARE YOU LISTENING ....................... NOTHING .....................................................................................................................................................GET MORE RAM.......................................................

pony up the 30$ and buy a stick of ram. Your just wasting your time, along with alot of other peoples time.

GET MORE RAM......

I went home and looked in my bios and I was mistaken. The Intel board that I have is a 865 PERL which will let me overclock to 4%. You have to go into the bios and go to the Advanced tab. There will be something called chipset configuration or something close. You can change one of the settings in there from auto to -2% all the way up to +4%. It is basically good for nothing. If you change it to +4% your chip will run at 2.5Ghz.

This computer that I have is basically the same as yours with one exception:
Processor: 2.4 Ghz
MB: Intel 865 PERL
Ram: 1 GB This makes my computer run pretty decent for how old it is
Video: Radeon 9700

Anyways, hope this is the info you were looking for and sorry but I don't think it will help.
