10 grand, thats alot of cash to spend on a pc! I wouldnt get that psu, instead a 1000w Enermax Galaxy or an 850w Silverstone Zeus, they can each pull atleast 70a on the +12v rail, cant have enough power when twin 8800gtx's are involved.

I like your choice of headphone, i have a pair of sennies myself, sadly there only HD455's, still have pretty decent sound though.

why not 680i? why not a quad 6600, and overclock it?

and with regards to Xi-Fi, with vista getting rid of EAX, there may be a better option out there, or there may be new (and thereffore functional) options out there in 6 months?

what are you intending to use it for?

Probably go with a HD DVD instead of Blue-Ray.

You did know that the pron industry will be using it. Blue-Ray is too expensive.

I'm sure that minitank will finally be able to enjoy his WoW experience on this uber rig.

Edit: You can do all of that for a lot less, unless you just needed to feel good about yourself for spending that much.

not to be rude or anything but your choices suck.
you're just giving your money away.

Having 10k and spending them wisely is another thing.

!. m/b gotta go. Get the 680i asus striker extreme. It officially supports quad cpus and newest 1333 fsb.
2.cpu gotta go as well. Either buy the quad core qx6700 or the E6700. Doesn't really justify the price difference difference of 6800 and 6700 for a minor increase in performance.
3.buy a single GTX and see if it sufficient. (I'm pretty sure it will be, but can be wrong). If not, then buy the second and do sli.
4.do you really need the 11. Iomega 250 MG Zip Drive $133.00. ?
5.might wanna wait for the bluray drive as well, as more choices will be soon available.
6.Why buy four sticks of 1gb and not 2 sticks of 2gb?
7.if you game then your mice sucks! (especially for cs:s , battlefield etc)
8.I would go for a lian li case.
9. $360 for headphones? thats another overkill. Will it distort the sound 0.001% less or what?

and the list goes on.

I'd reduce the cpu dramatically, use it for 6 months and get quad when it is cheaper.

Also research the eax issue with Vista, essentially you'll lose all of the hardware acceleration that the card offers if you go to vista, which I assume that you will in maybe 6-12month, hence that card may end up being wasted.

In general I'd say it was overkill, you could probably get 90% of the performance for 50% of the cash.

I agree with all of those except number 9, leave the headphones out of it man! he's already buying a $260 sound card, a pair of $0.99 bargin bin headphones arent going to do the card justice.

huh?
I didn't say buy 0.01$ headphones. But do they really worth the extra 200$ difference from say a 150$ headphone set? are they really THAT good?

It's a bragging build alright.

If you got 10,000 to to burn and dont care if might be over paying for bragging rights, then I suggest you go here http://falcon-nw.com/
Dont forget you have to build it and thats alot of money to spend for your parts not to be working as they should or could(overclocking)

I agree most with the CPU choice, go for the much less expensive one and overclock it to match the much more expensive one. As for the rest of the suggestions, take them, half your costs, give me the other $5K, and use your fancy new computer and finance program to report a charitable donation to a poor guy who needs to pay off student loans.

The sound card is poo compared to the headphones anyway. A much cheaper pair will do fine.

The OP has just picked the most expensive of everything he could find tbh.
Nice try though.

Lose the zip drive, unless you really have an excuse to use it.

Get a 2nd optical drive, much easier to copy discs that way.

Dont forget about a software license.. must stay legal and all that.
