1 GB stick or 2 x 512 GB sticks?

Just a quick question, I need to get 1 GB of ram and upgrade in the future to atleast 2 GB. In the mean time, what is a faster setup, 1 GB stick or 2 x 512 GB sticks of DDR2 800 ram?

Also, if a motherboard says its memory standard is DDR2 800, can you still use 533 ram on it?

Ordinarily 2 sticks are considered to be better but if you're planning on upgrading to @GB, I go with one stick and get the second when you can afford Just be sure to get the same one you have when you upgrade
