Catalyst Control Center: I'm no techie.

Hello, is anybody here at this hour?
Toshiba tech support had me install this for the sole purpose of giving me an option for adjusting brightness when the brightness control mysteriously stops working. I used to be able access it by right clicking on the desktop, now it's not there, though I see it in Windows Task Manager processes

Have you tried searching for it in Windows Search?
And just to confirm, you are talking about CCC not being an option when you right click desktop right?

Exactly! I have since found CCC in the program list (don't know how I missed it before) but it doesn't offer the same control panel, which has a brightness control, that I recall when right clicking the desktop used to open it. I wonder if this is a different version... I don't recall reinstalling it. Anyway, this is a program that Toshiba tech support had me install (they said it should have already been installed by them at the factory) to solve my problem with my brightness control sometimes not working, either the keyboard control or using the power options control panel. thanks!
