I just build a new system and I've noticed when I play games my sound is choppy and it makes unbearable to enjoy. I'm using an Audigy 2 ZS w/ Windows XP. Anyone know how I can this this? It's driving me nuts!
Thanks.

Ive had the same thing to happen but my problem was with the card not setting well. I took the card out and inspected the board for defects then placed it back in and it worked from that time on. If this doesnt help try a different slot.
I reseated and still had problems... I had the latest driver installed but decided to go back to an older one. So far I haven't had any problems... kind of odd. I need to do some more testing though.

My dad always said,"Dont try to fix what's working". If the old drivers work thats good enough for me. Good luck with testing it could be a driver conflict.
I guess you put plenty of good RAM in your new build? I remember that not enough free RAM was often a cause of choppy sound, but you don't hear about it so much these days.....
You know what after installing those old driver I still got choppy sound. I took the thing out and installed my onboard drivers and things seem to be good. My sound card could have possibly been dying or something because it did it on an old machine too...
