Lost microsoft word icon

I cannot find my desktop icon for Word. I have no idea where it went. How do I relocate it and regain it?

  1. Click on your start button, go to all programs, microsoft office, and word should be there. Left click to start it, or right click it on, select Send to, then choose desktop (create shortcut)
  2. Launch Finder. Select Applicaitons, Office 2011, right click on Word, select "Make Alias". Drag icon to desktop.
  3. Re-put it to your desktop. Worked for me
