Grafx Card purely for work (3D Studio Max & VectorWorks)

I'm looking for the best Price/Performance card for this purpose.

I'm building a machine so far, I've come up with the following but just stuck on the grafx card.

How much can you spend on the video card?

about £300 maybe it really depends, I mean if I have to spend 20% more and will get 40% better performance then I could do that. Just need some suggestions as I have no idea about the subject except that Quadro's are designed for work rather than games.

Also if there is a gaming one that performs better for the same price, I'd get that. All I want is a good value card for what it does.
