12v rail. I've been lurking around here for a good power supply as I think my Modstream 450w (26A on the 12v rail) won't properly supply a C2D build with 8800GTS I want to build. I hope to O/C to around 3.6GHz if possible. So I think 34A is a minimum from what I've read here.

It's just hard to find a modular PSU with that spec at a good price. I'd like to keep it under $100 if possible. Single 120mm fan for quiet operation is also an important factor.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

I've heard of the Corsair CMPSU-620HX. Any others?

I looked at both and they both look like awesome PSUs especially for the price but I'd really like a modular unit to keep my case clean looking and to keep airflow smooth inside.

Just picked up this Xclio Greatpower for only $99:

It was also on the Tier 2 list linked to by Mpilchfamily. I understand that it is built by Channel Wells and a good PSU. I was worried that at that low price it may not be as good as the other Greatpower models, but a review I read confirmed that the entire Greatpower series is sourced from Channel Wells. I could not find any info an what the total amperage you can draw from the 12v rails, but a review satisfied me that it was more than 36 Amps as they tested it to 36 amps. Anything more would be a bonus.

Yep it is a Tier 2 PSU. It will work. I would of gone with something else but everyone has their choice and opinion.

Good buy.
