How important is CPU cache size for gaming?

E6320
4MB L2 cache
Max overclock @ around 2.6GHz

E4300
2MB L2 cache
Max overclock @ around 3.3GHz

So, when overclocked, it looks like the E6320 will be slower but have a larger cache while the E4300 will be faster but have a smaller cache.

Provided all other components are equal, which CPU will yield the best gaming results?

  1. Thank you for the quick response. I've spent many hours over the past couple months reading tech articles in an attempt to get caught up on current hardware (haven't paid attention since 2001) and sometimes the info slips through the cracks of my sleep-deprived brain. :P
  2. as j.j. said it wont matter much.

especially in your case. with the intel cpu,s.
