Hi,

Is it possible to enable the XP firewalls via a GPO and
configure a standard Firewall policy via a GPO.

To help prevent Sasser type attacks etc.

Thanks

Yes, it is possible to enable the Internet Connection Firewall via the GPO.
Below are the steps to enable Internet Connection Firewall:

1. Start + Run + MMC
2. File+Add/Remove Snap-in
3. Add+Group Policy for "Local Computer"
4. Local Computer Policy/Computer Configuration/Administrative
Templates/Network/Network Connections
5. Right pane ---> Prohibit use of Internet Connection Firewall on your
DNS Domain
