Hello

I recently purchased a XFX 7900GS (525 core clock/1550 mem clock). The card came with a PCIe power cable (which splits into 2 separate male molex connectors). Ok, I have been running my card having only one of its molex connectors plugged to my power supply. Performance is decent, no problems wat so ever...but I feel may be the card can do more than that. My confusion is, do I have to use the 2 connectors to get optimum performance?

Can somebody help me out here...it'd be much appreciated!
Thanks

Usually, if there's no enough juice the card will display a message saying so and hang during boot.

Probably there are 2 molexes for redundancy reasons. If it works and you have a good quality/high amperage PSU I wouldn't worry too much.
