When you put the item in the chest to open a door to one of the possible
Never Tombs (in the three districts), is all you need to do is put the item
in there? Does the note (with the riddle) also have to be in there?

I ask because I thought I had figured one out, but it didn't work, so I just
wanted to make sure I was doing it right. But please, no spoilers.

Thanks! Guess I need to keep thinking. :)

Hint: Were you putting just any item that fit the riddle description in
the chest, or did you try a specific item?

Not sure what you mean. For the one that said "A splinter in flight," I
tried an arrow, but that didn't work. But again, I don't want any answers,
I'll keep thinking about it.

Ok, quick question. I think I've figured out the one that says "A wall at
arms length," but my item didn't seem to work. Do I need to use specific
items, or just a general one? Because the general ones weren't working.

Specific. You need to talk to someone in a side room in the temple.

Well, I've gone back to talk to the original guy who sent me on the quest,
but he doesn't say anything about it. Maybe there is someone else.

Did you find the relics in the peninusla district? You should have three
special items from a chest in a tomb beneath one of the houses. IIRCC.

Oh wow, I forgot all about those things, even though they obviously seemed
important. Now I don't know what I did with them. I might have sold them, or
left them somewhere. Time to search...

You couldn't have sold them.

Hint: If it's worth 0gp at the merchant, it's important.

Yeah, I remembered that I had left them in the chest, so I'd know where to
find them later when I needed them. Not sure why I did that, didn't make
much sense not to pick them up when I first found them. Oh well, on the plus
side, I figured out the three riddles on my own without even knowing I was
supposed to use these three items, so that was neat. :)

You should be able to recover them from the pool then.

I found them, because I left them where they were.
