How does one install software RideOn_PPC.ARM.CAB and data RideOnRoute1.sgd

(from Ride On Handheld Schedule Planner - Download (Windows MobileT)

http://www.secondkiss.com/rideon/d [...] obile.asp)

on a ppc with Windows Mobile 2003 SE?

Usually, I install programs and data by synchronizing ppc and desktop and
just click install. This does not work here. It installs only on the desktop
and I tried unsuccessfully to copy it from there to the ppc.

Thanks in advance, Gerhard

Gerhard - You would need to place the RideOn_PPC.ARM.CAB
and data RideOnRoute1.sgd on your device using either
activsync, or a card reader. Then click on the
RideOn_PPC.ARM.CAB file on your PPC which will self
install the program - if you make the file read only -
the CAB file will not be deleted after the install, and
you could re-install it if needed after a hard reset if
located on a memory card.

Thank you. Using activsync I could copy the RideOn_PPC.ARM.CAB
and data RideOnRoute1.sgd to the PPC. But clicking on the
RideOn_PPC.ARM.CAB file on the PPC does not self install the program,
nothing happens.

I tried installing them on the device, on the storage card and into
programs.

What is it that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance, Gerhard

Not sure - never seen that happen before, was this
designed for WM2003? Even so, it should open - have you
searched in my documents, and the other folders on your
device to make sure it didn't install to another
location? The install may not open the program
automatically.

HTH - let me know - xfiler

You were right. It did install, I finally found it in File Explorer.

Thank you very much for your expert help.
