I need a good movie suggestion for tonight! And no, there is no movie:"death to the hippies!"
Something violent, fast-paced, vicious, light on plot, and preferably where it's the HERO and NOT the hero's love interest that dies.
Gummi Bears, for example. That's a good one to watch.

A movie named 'Before The Devil Knows You're Dead' is much better than printing and spending 1.3 trillion in order to reduce the federal deficit plus Marisa Tomei's tit shots aren't bad (Writer's embellishment added).
Platoon is always a good one or terminator 2, one of the best movies of all time.
That is fupped duck. I have a copy of Platoon stiting on my desk. Academy Award Best Picture 1986. Always the movie I site as my all time fav. I watched the original Terminator the other day. It's not a chick flick for bone faces like Maria. Uber high tech. Arnold looked great in that movie. World Class.
Apocalypse Now
One of the stations is showing Eastwood movies all week this evening. Dirty Harry, Magnum Force. I purchased a copy of Dirty Harry the other day so my son could watch it. Still holds it's own. I saw it in the theatre in '71 with my high school sweetheart, Marie Osmond. Grand Torino is great. I deal with street gangs a lot and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
+1 for Apocalypse Now
EDIT for sweatheart
If you're going out, I suggest Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
If you're renting then get The Sore Losers - a delightful, low-budget film about aliens sent to kill 12 hippies each.
I'm going out with my wife. Is The Sound of Music still showing? Mamma Mia?
Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I would see it, but my wife would not be seen with me if I did. (Sees wife drive up and puts on Frank Sinatra records to hint of the impending mood).
staying in and it so happens by hippie daughter rented unforgiven with clint in it and i like him so i'll give it a go
Apocalips now(lol) is excellent and so are terminator and platoon ... yhe best part of tewrminator 2 is when the blond girl walks away from the camera naked...omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pi
apocalypse now: redux
what dreams may come
the original scarface
then the remake
fight club
hamburger hill
belly (open your minds)
ok, im done for now
Edit: i forgot requiem for a dream, now go away
Unforgiven is bitchin'. Just turned on the computer and was talking to my son and reminded him Eastwood flicks are on this week. He asked if Dirty Harry was his best movie. I said, well Unforgiven was excellent!
"Go ahead, make my day." 8)
My My....all the highbrow suggestions....
Might I suggest something a little more your speed?
Perfect for you...the man on the go
on a tricycle

Go to BlockBuster and rent Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
Prepare to laugh so hard your stomach will hurt.
And don't watch it with kids. I let my 12 year old watch all the other Kevin Smith movies, but not this one...
And maybe not Clerks 2... I think I told her no on that one.
Jake & Badge - I'll add one more to Platoon and Apocalypse Now! which will be Full Metal Jacket. Those along with Saving Private Ryan, Das Boot and BoB is the be all of war movies. Got em all and watch them frequently.
My favorite movie though is Snatch.
Speaking of war - my brother passed his BARB exam in order to join the Royal Army. Bloody proud of the little fcuker. Now if he can only get rid of his suga mommy then he's off for a sterling career.
good luck to him.
To which instance. The vampire or the army?
Give eXistenZ a try if you enjoy combining a gaming hobby with watching movies.
If you feel like smoking pot while watching a movie, then Donnie Darko is a good flick. Start smoking directly at the beginning of the movie so you'll be in the right state of mind when it starts to matter.
Well well, Mac you surprise me!
in what way?
Well, I'm going out on a limb here and assuming the Donnie Darko express was in fact tried by yourself?
BTW, who checked Pineapple Express?

Remember where I live? [/duh]
But no, never smoked a bong in my life [/whistles]
Pineapple Express.. mmm just checked the imdb synopsis.
I'll record it on my hdd when one of my channels broadcasts it but I'm not going to waste energy and bandwidth in searching and downloading it from somewhere.
ahh yes eXistenZ,
the demoness Allegra Gellar!!!
that was a interesting movie.
@Mac
When the channel broadcasts it, recording it to HDD will probably make it of better quality than most downloads anyways.
Sad to say, but from time to time i hum the teletubbies theme music to my self, sad but true i know
Even better major motion picture in the making
Look out for the beautiful ura nage at 36 secs.
Best Paula Abdul plastered flick of the day so far. And of course soon to be a major motion picture.
Stay classy Paula.

No Country For Old Men. I loved it.
I didn't think it was great, and my wifey hated it...
Not sure what's going on for the summer. Money isn't looking good at the moment.
I liked it, but the hanging ending was annoying. I would like SOME form of closure.
It dragged a bit, friend-o. And it seemed a bit defeatist.
Good flik though, I just don't think I am going to buy it!
Withnail and I.

He did everything he said he was going to do. Can't get much more closure than that. Then he moved on...
Stupid, simple Pike...
That reply was directed @ Lofty.
I'm not planning my summer movie trips now, dillweed.
I didn't know you had to take a "trip" to go to see a movie. You must not get out much, except from your wife's anus that is.
