Logitech MX510 to G5 upgrade worth it??

Bestbuy has the G5 logitech laser mice for $40 atm... would it be worth it to upgrade from my logitech mx510 (optical, 800dpi) to the G5 mouse (laser, adjustable up to 2000dpi)? I play mostly BF2142, BF2, counter strike source, and maybe a little WoW. Will I notice any difference? And if I will notice a difference, how much? I remember going from a microsoft optical to the mx510 and it was a world of a difference. I'm doubting this will be anywhere near the same thing. I just don't want to buy the mouse and have an identical mouse with the same feel and response.
