Hi all
need to know why, after a length of time mapped network drives appear with
red crosses on them on our 2000 servers.
This seems to create a problem when using 2000 server backup. Reports that
the drives are not available.

Is their any way to stop this from happening.

Hi Graham,

In the registry there is an Autodisconnect value you can modify which will
change the behaviour of mapped drives in regards to disconnection. Have a
look at this:
