I'd like some information:
What exactly is my job?
What exactly is my pay?
How long have I been working?
Where are my previous paychecks?
Do you fire everyone who corrects you?
How the hell did you know I was from Texas?

Well, before I fired you, you were a janitor at a glory hole bookstore.

$2.13/hr. You worked for tips.

Let me contact HR. I'll have an answer for you in 10 business days.

Well, you didn't get a check last week because you have a $2000 tab at the store. (I told you to ease up on the dolls...)

Not all... some wind up in a jar that sits atop of my computer. It's label is "Ashes of Former Problem Employees"

Damn! No need to get sucked into who has a bigger c*ck. I get it. The original question wasn't posed to elicit a pissing match between fellow forumites, but to figure out if the purchase of a 7600GT would be worth the upgrade (even with the sale of an 850pro). While everyone has their opinion, the answer is no.

For ~210 on newegg right now (after rebate) you can get a X1950 XT 256mb. forget anything else DX9 or wait till DX10.

I just wish these forums had alittle more civility and real people.

lol... there u go. that's called h-u-m-o-u-r. if you plan on sticking around here for long, i suggest you use it and take everything i have to say with a grain of salt. (no doubt you probably already are)

this isn't anandtech. we don't all act like we're 70 year old cognitors and think that being nice will lead to a better world.

this is TOMSHARDWARE!

;-)

My first response would be NO. But, if you must be parted with some of your money, then, IMHO, the only choice (since you're on AGP) is the X1950 Pro. IMHO, save your money for a platform upgrade and then get a PCI-e card since they're cheaper with the PCI-e interface anyway. Your system should be good enough to wait until the Vista/DX10 dust settles.

Ha! I just landed a job with Falcon Northwest, designing their new Mach 5's.
You really shouldn't have fired me.

how would that skill help me increase my margins at my glory hole business?

i'm still confident i made the right decision [/smug]

You could get an X850XT on Ebay for less than a new 7600GT would cost you, and as others have pointed out, the 7600GT gets handled by the X850XT in every benchmark.

The X850XT is the fastest AGP card in its category. The only cards faster are post $180-200.
