In general, what video card do you use, ignoring manufactuer, going by general chipset and performance?

<b>Your video card?</b>
Alright, this all may be confusing, but i'm open to any and all suggestions. Basically, I tried to break it down to the areas where a graphics card could fall. Here's a couple examples for each number

1-Ati Rage 128, TNT M64, Voodoo card, Sis 6326
2-Nvidia TNT, TNT 2, Ati Rage Fury MAXX, Via Prosavage Km266, integrated graphics in general
3-Nforce chipset, i845g chipset, Ati Radeon IGP chipset
4-Geforce2 Mx400, Sis 305/315, Radeon Sdr, Matrox G450/G550, Kyro I/II
5-Geforce2 GTS, Geforce2 Ultra, Radeon 7000-7500, Sis Xabre 200/400, Geforce4 mx series
6-Geforce3, Geforce 3 ti200/500, Radeon 8500, Radeon 9000, Matrox Parhelia
7-Geforce4 ti, Radeon 9700

Soon enough, Intel will make the i845s...imagine dual channel Sdram...*shudder*

Hate to have to explain my video card, PCI .................. Good I got it out now I can go on safely. Yes, you read correctly I have this because I got a comp for school last year that my parents picked up and it does not, repeat does not have an AGP slot. It came with integrated graphics, cough! So I got a Radeon 7500 PCI. Talk about a change in benchmark scores. They are by no means great, but they are a huge improvement.

In a world without <font color=red>walls </font color=red>or <font color=green>fences </font color=green>, what use have we for <font color=red>Windows </font color=red>or <font color=green>Gates.</font color=green>

Which category does Quadro DCC fall under...it's more expensive than any of em....

Hmmm...forgot about the Quadros and Fire GLs...good question. For practical gaming usage and day to day crap, I guess it would fall somewhere around a Geforce2/3

In open Gl yes...but in general usage?

By general use u mean games I assume (cause photoshop, cad, animation, etc is pro). In games that use OGL, I rape. In games that use D3D mine is as good as a GF3. See, it's a powerful vid card.

Where did you get this monster, and what Geforce is it based on?

Reply to Quetzacoatl

I got this monster for $80 because of a mixup that happened, and thus a kind of "we're sorry about the mixup gift" from the company. Eehehehehehehhe. Based on GF3.

I'm still using a TNT2 Ultra. I'll be changing it soon for an ATi 9700 Pro, but the TNT2 Ultra was a good card and stood the test of time reasonably well, at least my card did.

I´m using a Geforce2Mx200, I am very happy with it´s performance, especially
the ultra fast memory.
This card is truly state of the art, it can run all games with full AA and
in resolutions up to an incredibly 320x200 pixels with approximately
11 frames per second, what a marvel.
I sometimes suffer severe epilepsy attacks caused by the framrate, but
I think it´s worth it...compared to other cards the framerates achieved
are far more superior.

I recommend this card to everyone! Ten stars out of ten, no doubt.

I use my Radeon 9700pro to play solitare. It gives me more of an edge over the computer than my old video card did. ....

Lol, 4x AA pong, that's just sad...you might as well get 16x FAA for Pong!

Reply to Quetzacoatl

Well you can also use the OpenGL 2.0 version with 8x Antiscoptic filtering and 4x FAA.

LMAO! Unfortuately, my Pong doesn't use DirectX or OpenGl, so you can't use AA or Aniso. Anyway, I made some "vast" improvements since that version. I added mouse control, single and 2 player mode, multiple levels, a couple of power ups, a high-score list, multiple settings for AI "Intelligence", a Time-Out settings, and a lot more! That was my end-of-the-year comp sci project. I got perfect on it! LOL! If I can still find it, I'll post a link to the final version here.

Intelligence is not merely the wealth of knowledge but the sum of perception, wisdom, and knowledge.

I know... but it sounded cool. Just like Pong with SSE2 optimization.
And Yahiko searched for a version of Pong and I rememberred I still got your version on my HD... doesn't that make you feel famous?

But I'm curious about your final version.
