New install w/W2K

Two homebuilt PC's with W2K. New home w/Cat5 cable installed. Linksys router installed.

When I open Networking in Control Panel, I open properties in LAN status. A list of four components shows up.

Client for Microsoft Network
File and Printer Sharing for MS Networks
NETBEUI Protocol
TCP/IP

Should I delete these and start over? Not sure of how to setup/administer network for file sharing and security.

Any reference material you would suggest to setup from scratch?

The only one I think you can do without is the netbeui but not sure. the others you need for the network to work correctly.
