So I finally retired my old anitque athlon + 9800xt combo and upgraded to a c2d 6400 overclocked to 3ghz and an asus 1950xt.

Purrs like a kitten except......cyberlink, I can play dvds in windows media player and jetaudio but when I try and play a dvd in power dvd my gpu crashes and if I don't close powerdvd in time my computer resets.

I've tried setting my the settings in catalyst to all the defaults, tried turning off hardware acceleration in powerdvd tried patching it and nothing seems to work, has anybody any suggestions or had a similar probem?
