Sharp LCD TV and Scientific Atlanta

Don't know if any one has ran into this before. A local installer called me
in to trouble shoot this problem. His customer has a Sharp 37" LCD TV
connected to a Scientific Atlanta cable box using a DVI cable. When you turn
the TV off and then back on you only get snow on the screen but the audio
comes through. The only way to get the picture back is to unplug the cable
box and reboot it then the picture comes back. Component video works ok but
the picture is not as good as the DVI cable. We are in the process of having
the cable company "Adelphi" change the box but they seem to be in short
supply so we are wating.

Any thoughts?
