my mobo is SLI ready. this new card i bought is Crossfire ready.

does that mean i cannot use it with my mobo even if its just a SINGLE card i want to use? i thought those parameters only applied once u start using two video cards.

are they incompatible even in a single card setup?

Try these

1) Update BIOS

2) Erase any drivers from any other card you had before

3) Make sure you are not using on-board video

Any PCIe graphics card will work with any PCIe motherboard, with very few exceptions.

as for my noobness yes.. i actually TRY to spend a few days studying and figuring out the new shit before i buy it... i came to the same conclusin as u that any pci e will work with any pci e board

i installed newest drivers. made sure connections were stiff and moved the connection of the dvi and i dont know which one worked but my shit works now and here i am posting
