too bad about the memory timings unable to reach ddr2-800 at a stable rate:( Hopefully there will be a flash soon. I'm going to give this mb a try anways.

on newegg's site down at the bottom they state:

Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets.

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813127019

Which leads to some more questions, I'd like to by some 4-4-4-12 or 4-4-3-5 modules. Not sure what will happen...

where are you getting that from - it will do way past that ... :?

The statement about Jedec spec. is true of all 965 boards but it doesn't mean that's all that it will run just that's all that's officially supported.
266fsb is all that's officially supported too but the mobo will do over 500 ...

The bios as of now, the memory won't go past ddr2-667. I am getting the information off of the customer reports. Also, newegg says the board is only designed w/ ddr2-800 in mind. I can't find any specifications saying anything over ddr2-800.

I've got 1, it will & also Anandtech say it will. http://anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2911&p=4
"The board was able to handle settings of 5-4-4-12 up to DDR2-1010. Our final settings of 5-5-4-15 at DDR2-1030 required a voltage increase to 2.325V."
& that was on the release BIOS not the later 1.

It gets to ~1050 or so which means that if you run 1:1 the board is running ~525fsb (that's using the 1067 strap mind).
Remember that no mobo manufacturer will officially support anything that the component manufacturers won't & afaik that's all that Intel claim for the chipset.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your mail.
1. The Intel and JMicron conflict problem will be solved by next BIOS.

2. The AB9-QuadGT need new revision to support 1333Mhz FSB CPU.

would be interesting to know why as we all now know that the board can run 2200fsb+
I wonder if Intel's fooling around with the VRM specs again?

Any way buy it & run it now as Bearlake will be out when the 1333 CPUs are.
