I have a workstation board with only PCI, PCI-X and PCIe x4 and currently using onboard video (POS).

I am interested in watching videos full-screen (1280x1024) on this PC and recently added in an X1300 for PCI but it got choppy at anything higher than around 1000x500 resolution. Are there any video cards I can use on this PC that are more powerful than an X1300?

uhhh... you bought a PCI x1300? if so that's probably your problem. what kind of processor do you have? also, are u using the latest ati drivers?

what's the onboard video?

even w/ a pci video card, your processor should be more than capable of decoding 1080p content... unless you have something really weak.
