Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of purchasing the 7800GS from New Egg.

Based on my specs, would this be a good decision:
Motherboard: AOpen AK77-600N
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3200+
RAM: OCZ 2GB Platinum
PSU: Ultra ULT31841 V-Series 500W

If not, what would be the best card you could recommend?

Thanks.

7800GS can be good for your rig.

Other card that less pricey is 7600 series. You can pick such 7600GS or 7600GT. Most users said 7600GS give more performance than GT.

From ATI is 1950 or 1600.

Thanks Slice!

The one thing I was worried about is that maybe my budget PSU wouldn't be able to handle it.

But you feel confident I will have no issues?

My system was running from a Thermaltake 420W PSU 18A on the +12v rail.
Changed the PSU now, it's the Ultra 600 from my other computer.
I had/have no problems with either PSU, just some drivers.

BTW does the X1950Pro interest you at all.
