And then a bundle of Thermaltake Case fans for appropiate system cooling. 4 fans at $11.99

Do you have any other idea regarding to this system, or you think this OK? At least for playing FSX Deluxe and some other games like NFS Carbon and Most Wanted, Tom Clancy's series and stuff.

Thanks for the recommendations and critics

I would change the CPU for the C2D setup get like E6300 or the E6400 and get a motherboard thats a LGA775 I would suggest a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 it work for me @ OC'ing but there are other good motherboards out there just have to search it. But your other things looks ok to me.

Ditch the coolermaste psu, its junk, this one is much better. The biggest problem with this build is the cpu, get a C2D, even the low end E6300 will completely and utterly destroy that 3800+, plus there great for oc'ing. If you get a C2D your going to need a new mobo as well, the Asus P5B Deluxe is pretty good, so is the GigaByte DS3, The Abit AB9 Pro is worth mention, but i would rather get a P5B. Might want to get some DDR2-800 ram, you'll be able to oc a littler higher. The soundcard is a waste of money, onboard is fine. I would get a 1950xt instead of the 7950gt, better performance. Get a tuniq tower 120 for the hsf and a tube of AS5.

Change to C2D +$100

Change to 7900 GS -$75 Get a DX10 card later.

Better Case +$50-75 with no psu!

Better psu +$50-75

C2D mobo +$75

Good cpu cooler +$50

Ram DDR2 800 no extra cost

Ditch the stupid fans, a good case doesn't need them.

At most this brings you to $1300
You could probably get a 8800 GTS and be under your $1500 budget.

Exactly anyway mirroring the above advice I would build this rig through newegg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115005 C2D E6300 $190

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128012 Mobo $150

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814142085 Ati x1900xt $215

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152031 HD 250GB $68

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820220174 2gb Memory $250

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811119068 Cooler Master Centurion 5 $50

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817128002 PSU Hiper 580 watt $85

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136103 LG Dvdrw $30

And add your Zalman cooler if you like I havent added a cpu cooler to my E6600 rig as its not worth the price imo.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was thinking about swapping the AMD with an Intel E6300. I've been reading that this proc well OCed can kick the QX6700 in clock speed ( Obviously less case cache, 2MB), but the performance will be very close. The other thing is the video card, I respect a lot your opinions about VC's but I want to stick to Nvidia. I've been using these cards since 10 years ago, and I never have had issues with them. Also the memory, I think that for a few bucks I could use DDR2-800, Am I right?.

Well guys, thanks for the recommendations again. If you have any other idea, just reply. I'll be checking this post constantly to keep updated and also to post the right config based on your ideas.

See you later

Robert

PS: Ohhhh, I forgot, any other recommendation for Intel Motherboards??.
